External tension Rebar for temporary support / preventing total collapse of Listed Historical Building at Sifnos Island(Aegean Sea, Cyclades, Greece)


A Listed Historical building, important for regional heritage, constructed at the beginning of 20th century faced total collapse danger.  Design pertain typical lateral support with standard methods but also External tension rebar for areas with close proximity with other structures. Method selected:

  • is not affecting protected architectural  parts.
  • is totally reversible when final retrofit of the structure occurs.
